About this project
When two beloved founders sold their 40-year-old HVAC company to three trusted lieutenants, the new owners wanted to keep the name but modernize the marketing. Our research confirmed what they suspected: loyal customers loved Andgar, but brand recognition outside that base was nearly nonexistent. Meanwhile, new residents were flooding into the area, escaping Seattle's overheated housing market—and Andgar had no digital strategy to reach them.
The Challenge
Andgar had a reputation problem—not a bad one, but an invisible one. Their website had no lead capture functionality. No chatbots, no intake forms, no prominent email—just a phone number. No digital marketing. No strategy for reaching an exurban community that was booming with growth.
Brand Story Telling
The brand got a face. A video featuring founders Andy and Gary sharing the company's values connected with longtime residents and introduced newcomers to the Andgar story.
Strategic Rebrand
We rebranded their maintenance plan as the "Peak Performance Plan" a nod to Mount Adams on the horizon making it memorable and meaningful.
Expert Positioning
Expert positioning came through downloadable ebooks on home heating efficiency and messaging that highlighted every technician's certification.
Direct Mail
Created a postcard series targeting new homeowners who studies show are more likely to invest in home improvements soon after purchase.
Trend Reponse
When heat pumps emerged as a major growth category, we produced a cheeky explainer video that helped define the technology for homeowners. And when COVID drove awareness of indoor air quality, we pivoted fast with video and streaming audio ads promoting air purifiers.
